Welcome to the November 2015 Issue of The Cutting Edge
Wolverine Machine has experienced growth and change this past year, which this October Newsletter is going to cover. The shop has 2 new pieces of equipment, achieved an important designation, and saw the retirement of an officer in the company.
Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Designation Awarded to Wolverine Machine
Bruce Walker has assumed ownership of Wolverine Machine Products, as his brother Ken Walker has since retired. Bruce’s participation in the Vietnam War has enabled Wolverine Machine Products to achieve an important designation from The Nation Veteran Business Development Council. The NVBDC is a federally recognized third party endorsement agency functioning to support American Veterans in entrepreneurial pursuits. Our machining facility has become accredited as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. This designation allows companies in the manufacturing (and non-manufacturing) communities to have access to supplier diversity programs. Principally, this recognition is to shed light on the Veteran Owned vendors capable of meeting the demands of the corporate supplier base. If your company is a participant in any supplier diversity programs, let us know how our many machining capabilities may help satisfy your company’s criteria.
